Housebreaking Victim’s Packet – Squatters

Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors (GLVAR) and LV/Henderson law enforcement put their heads together and created a Housebreaking and Victim’s Packet.  Property managers have long suffered with surprise guests and the inability to get them out short of gun fire. The packet is the solution.

The meeting at GLVAR with Metro was fantastic.  I learned that Metro does not give two-hoots about our Property Management Agreement.  What they want is for us to have authority to file a police report.  In order for us to do that, property managers need an Owner Authorization form.

I am including the Owner Authorization form in all the new property management agreements.  You can sign it, or not, but know that you will be providing me the ability to file a police report on your behalf for any illegal activity on the property – not just squatting.  This is a good thing.

I think you know that I will continue to call you regarding issues out of the ordinary.  It should go without saying that I will call you to discuss the filing of a police report, or not.  Rest assured.

Just know this….

I am an active member of the GLVAR Property Management Committee and will continue to keep you up-to-date on all the activities within the LV market.

Please call, write or smoke signal with your questions or concerns.
